Step by Step - Saturdays at 10am (Beginner class)
Designed specifically for newcomers. Learn foundational steps, transitions, and combos in a supportive, low-pressure environment. Perfect for building confidence before joining the OnTheBEAT program. Most beginners use this class as a bridge into the OnTheBEAT program.

Meet The Founder
Hi, I’m Kay So, founder of The Ginga Life and creator of the OnTheBEAT program.
With a background in Biomedical and Mechanical Engineering and experience at the Ottawa Heart Institute, I’ve long been fascinated by how the body moves, adapts, and benefits from intentional movement. Alongside this, I’ve been a dance instructor for over a decade, teaching rhythm, coordination, and expressive movement.
I created OnTheBEAT to blend movement science, rhythm, and the accessibility of step into a fun, adaptable program. Whether you’re in class with me or another certified instructor, expect great energy, clear guidance, and an experience that feels like more than a workout.
